Introduction: One Person Can Make an Impact- How You Can Change the World
Have you seen the Dandelion Crayon girl? LaKenzo is a TikToker who, just for fun, shared her collection of retired Dandelion Crayons with the world. She showed her displays, explained why she loved the color so much, and filmed herself collecting more. Overtime, she gained a following from this, and what happened? Her following and impact grew so large, Crayola brought back the Dandelion Crayon just because of her love for it.
Now, think about the things you’re passionate about and what you, a single person, could accomplish if you put yourself and your passion out there to the world. Could you change lives? Educate people? Make the world a better place?
With the amount of issues going on in the world right now, too many to count, it is nearly impossible for everyone to know and react to everything, but what if everyone picked one issue, one that they cared so deeply about, and shared their feelings with the world? How much of an impact could you make if you shared your passion with the world as openly as LaKenzo?
If people focused on racism, or sexism, genocide, homophobia, and the countless other issues, what could we as individuals do to improve society?
This blog is my attempt at this; I want to share my passion for conservation and protecting our ecosystems with the world. If my blog reaches the amount of people LaKenzo can with her Dandelion Crayons, just what kind of impact might I be able to make? If I convinced people to use their yards as ways to improve their local ecosystems, or I get people to take up Guerilla gardening, or people see the inventors I highlight and take inspiration, what changes might be able to be made?
I hope this blog inspires you to try these things, but also to share your own passions with the world.
